UNIVERSITY OF JOS, JOS, NIGERIA 2012 POST-UTME SCREENING EXERCISE

University of Jos hereby invites candidates to participate in the computer based Post- UTME screening exercise for the 2012/2013 Session. Each candidate shall, on registration, be scheduled for the screening as from Monday, 4th to Saturday, 9th June 2012.

The University website www.unijos.edu.ng will be opened from Friday, 25th May 2012 to Friday, 8th June 2012 for the online registration of candidates who have chosen the University as their 1st or 2nd choice.

The Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta, FUNAAB, 2012/2013 post utme details

All candidates who made the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) Formally (UNAAB)  their first or/and second choice(s) and obtained a minimum score of 200 in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) conducted  by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) in March,  2012 are invited for computer-based screening exercise  at the University.

CRUTECH 2012/2013 POST JAMB SCREENING

It is hereby announced for the information of prospective candidates who made Cross River University of Technology (CRUTECH) their first choice, that the post JAMB screening exercise for admission for the 2012/ 2013 academic sessionh will be held on saturday june 9th, 2012 at Calabar Campus.

Only candidates who scored 180 and above in the 2012/ 2013  JABM examination are eligible for the aptitude test.

Application should purchase a bank draft of N2,000 at any conventional bank in favour of CRUTECH which will be submitted at the examination venue.

FUTA Post UTME 2012/2013 details

All candidates who made the Federal University of Technology, Akure their first or/and second choice(s) and obtained a minimum score of 200 in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) conducted  by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) in March,  2012 are invited for computer-based screening exercise  in the University from Wednesday, 6^th June to Saturday, 9^th June, 2012.

Similarly, candidates who made FUTA their first or/and second choice(s) for the Direct Entry Admission for the 2012/2013 academic session are also invited for a computer-based Pre-Admission screening exercise on Saturday, 9^th June, 2012.

Australian tycoon 'is world's richest woman'

 Australia's richest person Gina Rinehart has eclipsed Wal-Mart heiress Christy Walton to become the world's wealthiest woman, according to an annual index by Business Review Weekly.

A preview of the respected BRW Rich 200 list, published Wednesday, put the mining tycoon's personal fortune at Aus$29.17 billion (US$28.48 billion), a figure that sees her outstrip Walton for the first time.

In March, Forbes placed Walton and her family's net worth at US$25.3 billion, while Rinehart's fortune stood at US$18 billion.

 BRW rich list editor Andrew Heathcote said mining magnate Rinehart had almost tripled her wealth in 12 months as commodity prices rose and she pulled off two deals in iron ore and coal.

Drogba confirms Chelsea departure

 

 Didier Drogba brought down the curtain on a trophy-laden career at Chelsea on Tuesday when he announced he would be leaving the club after eight years in West London.

The Cote d’Ivoire striker will leave when his contract expires at the end of June and is now odds-on to follow his former team-mate Nicolas Anelka to China.

JAMB pegs UTME cut-off mark at 180

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board on Monday pegged the 2012 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination National Cut-off Mark at 180.

It equally pegged the National Cut-off Mark for admissions into polytechnics, colleges of education and other diploma-awarding institutions at 160.

 This decision marks the official commencement of the 2012 admission into universities and other tertiary institutions across Nigeria.

The decision to set the cut-off points was taken after the 2012 combined Policy Committee meeting on admissions to Degree-awarding institutions, National Diploma, Nigeria Certificate in Education and National Innovation Diploma-awarding institutions in Abuja.

Minister of Education, Prof. Ruqayyatu Rufa’i, who chaired the meeting, appealed to the various institutions to adhere strictly to admission guidelines.
